Dandilion lived in the forest all alone- in his house. He didn’t remember a time when he wasn’t all by himself. His days consisted of waking up. He always woke up early, even though he could wake up at any time he wanted.

He made himself breakfast. It always had eggs and veggies (usually ones he found right after breakfast).

He had many things that he could do. Like gathering eggs or chopping wood - today

Dandilion gathered eggs and wood today. Some mushrooms and a couple plants too. But while he was doing that, the sun was shining through the leaves and reflecting on his skin.

It formed sun bunnies , and they were jumping around him, all over him - they were playing catch ,it felt like, at least.

The sun bunnies ran away, and he started chasing after them. They were so fast, though. Dandelion was pretty sure that they weren’t even real. Even if they weren’t real, he found he was still having fun trying to catch them.

They just ran together, chasing each other and playing. Until Dandelion suddenly realized they weren’t in the forest anymore! The sun was so much brighter than it had ever been before.

He looked around, and saw that all around him was endless - endless grass. It was only grass all around. Nothing else. Not a leaf, or a rock, or even a bug. It just seemed to stretch into infinity. But the thing that struck Dandelion the most, was how tall the grass was. It was taller than him, even when he stood on tip toes.

Dandelion asked the bunnies for help finding his house.

But despite his pleas, they didn’t seem to understand.

It wasn’t even like they were ignoring him, they just kept jumping around.

“Maybe you can ask the sun?” he pointed up to it,

“It can see everything, and everything can see it!”

Suddenly, a soft voice spoke in his head.

It was a new voice, it wasn’t like the bunnies, or like Dandelion, or even like his own.

But it was a sweet voice, and a kind voice.

"We could, but that, is no sun"

His world was silent.

The wind was gone, and so were the bunnies,

“If not the sun, then what?” Dandelion asked himself.

Now he was running towards it, the grass brushing against him.

Dandelion was lost.

In a world of infinite grass that stretched as far as he could see.

Nothing could be heard as he ran.

He felt the soft grass under his feet,

as he ran and he ran, and he kept on running.

He saw a figure in the distance.

Not a bunny, not the sun... and not human.

It had a strange, star shaped head.It was a lot taller than he was, too. And there was something floating around it, like compressed light

It noticed dandilion, it was not pleased " Oh, a human, what are you doing here?"

"I got lost , who are you? Are you the sun?"

"No, you should leave"

"Can you help me?" Asked dandilion

"If I help you , will you stop asking questions?"

"Yes!"

"Alright then"

" Oh, a human, what are you doing here?"

"I got lost , who are you? Are you the sun?"

"No, you should leave"

"Why?"

"You are not supposed to be here!"

"Can you help me? Not be here i mean. I was walking and then i got lost. And now i dont know where my home is. Its in the forest but , i cant see above the grass" Asked dandilion

"If I help you , will you stop asking questions?"

"Yes!"

"Alright then"

You could see by his face that he was really annoyed. Dandilion knew that the star was… not very happy with him. It had a look On its face

That made Dandelion feel like he had done something very wrong. And that made him feel… sad. He felt like he had done something wrong.

Like he shouldn’t have been there. Like he should have gone the other direction–

Away from the Star and the forest. The star paused for a moment. Its face grew soft, like it was remembering something from its own past.

Dandilion could sense the star's nostalgia.

"I'm glad you came, child." It said. Dandilion's eyes grew wide, and the star continued.

"Without humans, I am all alone."

They started walking, but dandilion kept trying to look over the grass and stumbling.

"What do you see?"

"I see everything" answered star man.

Can you please describe it ar maybe pick me up for a second so what I could see where we are?"

"Ugh…fine" mumble the star man and picked him up. Dandilion saw everything.

The ground was a shade of green—it looked like fields of grass…But it was also yellow like sand.

Dandilion could see trees on one side of the horizonand an endless field to the other, but trees weren’t the only thing he saw.

There were mountains of all shapes and sizes.

Mountains with snow caps, and just green hills.

“What is this place…it looks endless” He said,

looking around in awe.

"It might as well be" said star man.

After while they decided to take a break. They finnaly reached the end or the field and set down under a tree. Dandilion looked up at the tree with interest. It was huge, much bigger than a regular-sized one. Dandilion looked around the forest-

“Wow… this place is… beautiful!”

It was like a mixture of a forest, and a field of flowers. Mushrooms, trees, and plants of all sizes and shapes.Even Dandelion found himself staring in awe at all of their colors and designs.

“It truly is beautiful, isn’t it?” The star said,

its voice soft, almost like it was talking to itself.

Dandilion looked over at the star. Dandilion and the star sat under the tree together, in silence.

Dandilion looked around with wonder, but the star didn’t speak. It simply closed its eyes, letting the sun shine onto its face. Dandilion could tell that the star wasn’t sleeping or anything, It looked like it was taking a moment to bask in the beauty of the forest, Just like Dandelion was.

"Look around you, child. "This is all you need right here. The land… The forest…” It paused, and laughed.

“Oh… maybe not the mushrooms. Not all of them are safe!"  Dandelion exclaimed.

Dandilion and the Star walked, together, in silence. It felt like they were walking together for a while. The forest was almost hypnotic.

Almost every step Dandelion taken, a different kind of light would shine. It seemed like he was dreaming. Him and the star walking together , soo close to home already. But It seemed like the forest would continue forever.

As they walked further into the forest. Dandilion could feel his heart beat in excitement. He was getting closer and closer to his home.Dandilion watched as the star came to a stop in the middle of the path.

"Well... This is my home. Here we are."

Dandilion pointed over to his house, just a few feet away. It was almost hidden by a tree.

It was a small and simple home, but it did have a bit. Of a magical charm. It was made of stone with a thatched roof.

It was all gonna be OK from this point.

The End.
